How PowerDirector will work on a netbook PC

A netbook laptops is much cheaper that those Notebook laptop, that's why many consumers  like me choose to buy netbooks rather that notebooks because it is affordable. But notebooks have much higher resolution than netbooks, that's the reason why some application is not working in a netbook and working in a notebook specially the Power Director.

But now I will share how powerdirector will work in a netbook laptop, by increasing or adding screen resolution in the netbook. Please follow the step below:

  1. Run "regedit" in the search box.
  2. Hit Ctrl+F to find the registry or Click View>Find
  3. Type Display1_DownScalingSupported
  4. Then change the value 0 to 1, if there are still Display1_DownScalingSupported to change, hit Find next and change the value 0 to 1.

5. Wait until it finish.
6. Then restart your netbook.
7. After restarting, Go to Screen Resolution.
8. Then adjust your resolution higher, 1024x600 to 1024x768.
9. Now run the powerdirector and it will run smoothly even though its too slow but its okay..

This is a snapshot in my laptop when I run powerdirector for the very first time. :)

Please note that this technique is not working in some netbooks, because I tried to do this in my friend's netbook and it actually didn't work. The netbook is automatically shutting down. I don't know the reason, maybe because of low RAM or the laptop doesn't support higher resolution higher than 1024x600.

I hope it will work in many netbooks out there and I hope this will help you.. :)
